DIANE WITTRY

Internationally acclaimed conductor, author, and teacher Diane Wittry maintains a dual career as an esteemed music director of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra (Pennsylvania, USA) and guest conductor throughout the world. In the United States, Maestra Wittry has led performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, Little Orchestra Society of New York, and the symphony orchestras of Milwaukee, San Diego, Houston, New Jersey, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Springfield, Topeka, Augusta, Stockton, Pottstown, Wichita, and Wichita Falls. Her international engagements include concerts with the Sarajevo Philharmonic in Bosnia, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Russia's Maikop and Sochi symphony orchestras, Slovakia's State Orchestra-Kosice, Italy's Sinfonia Dell'Arte di Firenze, Canada's Niagara Symphony, and Japan's Orchestra Osaka Symphony. Past positions include Music Director of the Norwalk Symphony (CT), Ridgewood Symphony (NJ), and Symphony of Southeast Texas (TX).

ENSEMBLE
Boulder Chamber Orchestra

The Boulder Chamber Orchestra was established in 2004, and has since stood as Boulder’s premier chamber orchestra. Since its formation, the orchestra has played to sold-out audiences, and featured some of the area’s most talented musicians at our performances. BCO is directed by Maestro Bahman Saless.

40+ minutes (4 sessions, each at least 10 minutes)

  • $1,200 Active Participant (50 minutes podium time)

ABOUT

This course focuses on baton, conducting, and rehearsal technique, as well as effective communication with the body. The course includes:

  • 2 baton technique/conducting classes
  • 2 score study sessions/score previews
  • 4 video-taped conducting sessions (10+ minutes each)
  • 4 video reviews
  • 1 "Alexander Technique" Class
